CVE-2019-17367

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OpenWRT firmware version 18.06.4
Description The issue exists due to incorrect functionality of the web page structure protection mechanism in the LuCI web interface configuration of the OpenWRT embedded operating system. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery (CSRF) using certain network settings, specifically via wireless/radio0.network1, wireless/radio1.network1, firewall, firewall/zones, firewall/forwards, firewall/rules, network/wan, network/wan6, or network/lan under /cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/.
Recommendations For OpenWRT firmware version 18.06.4, consider disabling access to the /cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/ endpoint until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the LuCI web interface configuration to minimize the risk of CSRF attacks. Avoid using the vulnerable network settings in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
