Description
The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user using a specially crafted PDF file.
Recommendations
For Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions prior to 2019.010.20069, update to a version later than 2019.010.20069.
For Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions prior to 2017.011.30113, update to a version later than 2017.011.30113.
For Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions prior to 2015.006.30464, update to a version later than 2015.006.30464.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of specially crafted PDF files until a patch is available.
Restrict access to untrusted PDF files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
