Description The issue is related to an uncontrolled modification of object prototype attributes in the set function of the set-value library. This can allow a remote attacker to implement a prototype pollution attack. The set function fails to validate which Object properties it updates, enabling attackers to modify the prototype of Object. This vulnerability affects versions of set-value prior to 3.0.1 and 2.0.1.
Recommendations If you are using set-value 3.x, upgrade to version 3.0.1 or later. If you are using set-value 2.x, upgrade to version 2.0.1 or later.
