CVE-2019-3829

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GnuTLS versions 3.5.8 through 3.6.7
Description The issue is related to a memory corruption vulnerability, specifically a double free error, in the certificate verification API of the GnuTLS cryptographic library. This could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. Any client or server application that verifies X.509 certificates using the affected GnuTLS versions is impacted.
Recommendations For versions 3.5.8 through 3.6.7, update to version 3.6.7 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the certificate verification API until a patch is available.
