Description The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the TIFFVGetField function in the libtiff/tif dir.c component, allowing attackers to cause a denial of service. This can be exploited by a remote attacker.
Recommendations For LibTiff version 4.0.10, consider disabling the TIFFVGetField function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the libtiff/tif dir.c component to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
