Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
D-Link DIR-825 versions 2.10
Description
The issue is related to the use of weak password requirements in the D-Link DIR-825 router's firmware. This can allow a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. Specifically, the "user" account has a blank password, which can be exploited.
Recommendations
For version 2.10, consider changing the password for the
user account to a strong and unique password to prevent unauthorized access. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the device until a patch is available.Exploit
