Description The issue is related to insufficient protection of service data in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Shell: Admin / InnoDB Cluster subcomponent. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the MySQL Server, potentially resulting in a takeover. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. The vulnerability can be exploited to gain full control over the application using the MySQL protocol.
Recommendations For versions 8.0.16 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.16 to resolve the issue. At the moment, there is no information about additional mitigation measures for this specific vulnerability.
