CVE-2019-20201

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ezXML versions 0.8.3 through 0.8.6
Description The issue is related to the ezxml parse * functions in the ezXML library, which mishandle XML entities. This leads to an infinite loop with memory allocations, resulting in a denial of service. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker.
Recommendations For ezXML versions 0.8.3 through 0.8.6, consider disabling the ezxml parse * functions as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the ezXML library to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
