CVE-2020-6392

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 80.0.3987.87
Description The issue is related to insufficient policy enforcement in extensions, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to impact data integrity. This can occur when a user is convinced to install a malicious extension, allowing the attacker to bypass navigation restrictions via a crafted Chrome Extension.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 80.0.3987.87, update to version 80.0.3987.87 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to only trusted sources until the update is applied.
