Description
The issue is related to the ip6 ra control function in the net/ipv6/ipv6 sockglue.c component of the Linux kernel, which is associated with errors in pointer dereferencing. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service, resulting in a system crash due to a NULL pointer dereference. It is noted that the validity of this issue has been disputed.

For Linux kernel versions through 5.1.5, consider applying configuration changes or workarounds to minimize the risk of exploitation, such as restricting access to the ip6 ra control function until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
