Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Monitorix versions prior to 3.3.1
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the URI, due to a problem in the
handle request function in lib/HTTPServer.pm.Recommendations
For versions prior to 3.3.1, update to version 3.3.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
handle request function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the HTTP server to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using shell metacharacters in the URI until the issue is resolved.Exploit
