Description The issue allows a remote attacker to conduct phishing attacks using an open redirect attack. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site, the attacker could exploit this to spoof the URL displayed, redirecting the user to a malicious Web site that appears trusted. This could allow the attacker to obtain highly sensitive information or conduct further attacks against the victim.

Recommendations For versions 11.3 through 11.7, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent open redirect attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to external links from the IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog to minimize the risk of exploitation.
