Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Rumpus FTP Server version 8.2.9.1
Description
A CSRF issue exists in the Web File Manager's Edit Accounts functionality. This allows an attacker to take over a user account by changing the password, update users' details, and escalate privileges via the RAPR/DefineUsersSet.html endpoint.
Recommendations
For Rumpus FTP Server version 8.2.9.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Edit Accounts functionality in the Web File Manager until a patch is available. Restrict access to the RAPR/DefineUsersSet.html endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
