Description
A ransomware attack targeted the servers of a university, but instead, the infrastructure of the university's clinic was compromised. The attackers used a vulnerability to block around 30 servers, which led to the clinic being unable to accept new patients. Due to the attack, a woman in need of emergency medical care was redirected to another clinic 30 kilometers away and unfortunately did not survive. The attackers later provided the decryption keys after realizing their mistake, allowing the clinic to restore its operations.
