| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center versions prior to 8.7.0
Description
The issue allows an attacker to exploit cross-site request forgery (CSRF) in the VerifySmtpServerConnection!add.jspa component. This can be achieved by tricking an administrative user into making malicious HTTP requests, enabling the attacker to enumerate hosts and open ports on the internal network where the Jira server is present.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 8.7.0, update to version 8.7.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the VerifySmtpServerConnection!add.jspa component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
