CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions NETGEAR WNR1000V4 version 1.1.0.54
Description An issue was discovered in the web management interface, specifically in the setup.cgi, where multiple actions are vulnerable to command injection. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands, for example, by using shell metacharacters in the sysDNSHost parameter.
Recommendations For NETGEAR WNR1000V4 version 1.1.0.54, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the setup.cgi interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the sysDNSHost parameter in the setup.cgi until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
