| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM Cloud CLI versions 0.6.0 through 0.16.1
Description
The issue is related to the use of a weak algorithm, specifically SHA1, for signing windows installers. This could potentially allow an attacker to generate an installer with malicious software inside, exploiting the weak algorithm.
Recommendations
For IBM Cloud CLI versions 0.6.0 through 0.16.1, consider updating to a version that uses a stronger signing algorithm to mitigate the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
