| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
DomainMOD versions prior to 4.14.0
Description
The issue concerns the use of MD5 without a salt for password storage. This lack of salting in the password hashing process can make it easier for attackers to use precomputed tables (rainbow tables) to crack passwords.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.14.0, update to version 4.14.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive areas of the application to minimize the risk of exploitation.
