Description
The issue is related to a possible settings bypass in the
verifyIntentFiltersIfNeeded function of PackageManagerService.java, allowing an app to become the default handler for arbitrary domains. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with User execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions Android-8.0 through Android-11, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
