Description
A settings bypass issue in the
verifyIntentFiltersIfNeeded function of PackageManagerService.java allows an app to become the default handler for arbitrary domains. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with User execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions 8.0 through 10, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
