Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions Android-10
Description
A credential leak is possible due to a confused deputy in the
showSecurityFields function of WifiConfigController.java. This could lead to remote escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android version Android-10, consider restricting access to sensitive Wi-Fi configuration fields to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, review and limit the use of
WifiConfigController.java to prevent potential credential leaks.Fix
