Description
The issue is related to a possible use-after-free due to improper locking in the reset of NuPlayerDriver.cpp. This could lead to local escalation of privilege in the media server with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android versions 8.0 through 10, update to a version that includes the fix for the improper locking issue in NuPlayerDriver.cpp to prevent local escalation of privilege.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
