Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions 8.0 through 10
Description
A potential leak of sensitive WiFi configuration data exists due to a missing permission check in the
sendConfiguredNetworkChangedBroadcast function of WifiConfigManager.java. This could lead to local information disclosure of WiFi network names without requiring additional execution privileges. User interaction is not necessary for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions 8.0 through 10, apply the necessary patch to fix the missing permission check in the
sendConfiguredNetworkChangedBroadcast function of WifiConfigManager.java. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to WiFi configuration data to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
