CVE-2020-0467

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android versions 8.1 through 11
Description A logic issue in the onUserStopped function of Vpn.java may cause a resetting of user preferences. This could lead to local information disclosure of secure network traffic over a non-VPN link, with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations For Android versions 8.1 through 11, consider restricting access to the Vpn.java module to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the VPN functionality in these versions until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
