CVE-2020-10905

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit PhantomPDF version 9.7.1.29511
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. User interaction is required to exploit this, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the handling of vertices in U3D objects due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this, in conjunction with other issues, to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit PhantomPDF version 9.7.1.29511, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as no specific workaround is provided for this version. As a temporary measure, restrict the handling of U3D objects and be cautious when opening files or visiting pages from untrusted sources.
