CVE-2020-11705

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ProVide (formerly zFTPServer) versions through 13.1
Description An issue was discovered that allows an attacker to load an arbitrary certificate in .pfx format or overwrite arbitrary files via the fileName parameter in the "/ajax/ImportCertificate" API endpoint.
Recommendations For ProVide (formerly zFTPServer) versions through 13.1, consider disabling the "/ajax/ImportCertificate" API endpoint until a patch is available to prevent arbitrary file overwrites. Restrict access to the fileName parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
