CVE-2020-13111

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions NaviServer versions 4.99.4 through 4.99.19
Description The issue allows for a denial of service due to the ChunkedDecode function in nsd/driver.c not properly validating the length of a chunk. A remote attacker can craft a chunked-transfer request that will result in a negative value being passed to memmove via the size parameter, causing the process to crash.
Recommendations For versions 4.99.4 through 4.99.19, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ChunkedDecode function in nsd/driver.c until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
