Description The issue allows remote attackers to access outgoing emails between a Jira instance and the SMTP server via a man-in-the-middle (MITM) vulnerability. This occurs due to a flaw in the email client component.

Recommendations For versions prior to 7.13.16, update to version 7.13.16 or later. For versions 8.5.0 through 8.5.6, update to version 8.5.7 or later. For versions 8.8.0 through 8.8.1, update to version 8.8.2 or later. For versions 8.9.0 through 8.9.0, update to version 8.9.1 or later.
