Description
The issue is related to errors in resource release in the Enterprise Config Management component of the Enterprise Manager Base Platform. Exploitation of this issue can allow a remote attacker to modify, add, or delete data, gain unauthorized access to protected information, or cause a denial of service using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all accessible data, unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, and the ability to cause a partial denial of service.
Recommendations
For version 12.1.0.5, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For version 13.2.0.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For version 13.3.0.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Enterprise Config Management component until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the HTTP protocol to minimize the risk of exploitation.
