Description
The issue is related to errors in resource release in the Enterprise Config Management component of the Enterprise Manager Base Platform. Exploitation of this issue can allow a remote attacker to modify, add, or delete data, gain unauthorized access to protected information, or cause a partial denial of service using the HTTP protocol. The vulnerability can be easily exploited by a low-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP, potentially resulting in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of data and the ability to cause a partial denial of service.
Recommendations
For version 12.1.0.5, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For version 13.2.0.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For version 13.3.0.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Enterprise Config Management component until a patch is available.
Avoid using the HTTP protocol to access the Enterprise Manager Base Platform until the issue is resolved.
