Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. Authentication is not required to exploit this issue. The flaw exists within the ajax mod security.php file and results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this issue to execute code in the context of root.
Recommendations For CentOS Web Panel version cwp-e17.0.9.8.923, consider disabling the ajax mod security.php file as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to this file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
