CVE-2020-15627

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CentOS Web Panel version cwp-e17.0.9.8.923
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. Authentication is not required to exploit this issue. The flaw exists within the ajax mail autoreply.php file, specifically when parsing the account parameter. The process does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries, allowing an attacker to disclose information in the context of root.
Recommendations For CentOS Web Panel version cwp-e17.0.9.8.923, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ajax mail autoreply.php file until a patch is available. Avoid using the account parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
