Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. Authentication is not required to exploit this issue. The specific flaw exists within the getFileUploadBytes method of the FlashValidatorServiceImpl class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this issue to disclose stored credentials, leading to further compromise.
Recommendations For Marvell QConvergeConsole version 5.5.0.64, consider restricting access to the getFileUploadBytes method of the FlashValidatorServiceImpl class until a patch is available. Additionally, ensure proper validation of user-supplied paths in file operations to prevent directory traversal attacks.
