| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Gradle Enterprise versions 2018.2 through 2020.2.4
Description
An issue was discovered where the CSRF prevention token is stored in a request cookie that is not annotated as HttpOnly. This allows an attacker with the ability to execute arbitrary code in a user's browser to impose an arbitrary value for this token, enabling them to perform cross-site request forgery.
Recommendations
For Gradle Enterprise versions 2018.2 through 2020.2.4, consider annotating the CSRF prevention token cookie as HttpOnly to prevent JavaScript access and mitigate the risk of cross-site request forgery. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
