CVE-2020-2600

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.56 through 8.57
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Elastic Search component of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 8.56 and 8.57, consider restricting access to the Elastic Search component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP access to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable component for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
