Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Core component of the Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management product. It allows a low-privileged attacker with logon access to the infrastructure to compromise the product. Successful attacks require human interaction and may significantly impact additional products. The impact of a successful attack can include unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification of critical data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of data and the ability to cause a partial denial of service.
Recommendations
For versions 16.2.0.0 through 16.2.19.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 17.12.0.0 through 17.12.16.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 18.8.0.0 through 18.8.16.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For version 19.12.0.0, update to a newer version to mitigate the risk.
For version 20.1.0.0, update to a newer version to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Core component until a patch is available.
