CVE-2020-24388

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions yubihsm-shell versions prior to 2.0.3
Description An issue was discovered in the send secure msg() function. The function does not validate the embedded length field of a message received from the device, which could lead to an oversized memcpy() call that will crash the running process. This could be used by an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.0.3, update to version 2.0.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the send secure msg() function until a patch is available.
