Description A remote code execution issue exists in Microsoft Windows related to the processing of .LNK files. An attacker who successfully exploits this issue could gain the same user rights as the local user. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code and impact the system. This issue is similar to a previously discovered vulnerability used by the Stuxnet worm in 2010, which also exploited a 0-day vulnerability in the processing of .LNK files.
