Description
The issue is related to an XML External Entity Processing (XXE) vulnerability. This could allow an authenticated administrator to read arbitrary local files. To exploit this, an attacker must already have obtained product administrator or root privileges.
Recommendations
For Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Virtual Appliance (IMSVA) version 9.1, consider restricting access to the administrator interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit the privileges of administrators to reduce the potential impact of this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
