Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android version Android-11
Description
In the
onCreate method of HandleApiCalls.java, there is a possible permission bypass due to a confused deputy. This could lead to local escalation of privilege, allowing an app to set or dismiss the alarm with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android version Android-11, consider restricting access to the
HandleApiCalls.java class to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the onCreate method in HandleApiCalls.java to prevent potential permission bypass.Fix
