Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions Android-11
Description
The issue is related to a possible permission bypass due to an unsafe PendingIntent in the createSimSelectNotification function of SimSelectNotification.java. This could lead to local information disclosure with User execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android version Android-11, consider restricting access to the createSimSelectNotification function of SimSelectNotification.java until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the unsafe PendingIntent in the affected function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
