CVE-2020-27052

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android version Android-11
Description The issue is related to a permissions bypass in the getLockTaskLaunchMode function of ActivityRecord.java. This could allow any app to start in Lock Task Mode, potentially leading to local escalation of privilege without needing additional execution privileges. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations For Android version Android-11, consider restricting the use of Lock Task Mode until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, review and restrict app permissions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
