Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions Android-11
Description
The issue is related to improper input validation in the
isSubmittable and showWarningMessagesIfAppropriate functions of WifiConfigController.java and WifiConfigController2.java. This could lead to a possible insecure WiFi configuration, resulting in remote information disclosure without requiring additional execution privileges. User interaction is not necessary for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android version Android-11, consider restricting access to the WiFi configuration functions until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
isSubmittable and showWarningMessagesIfAppropriate functions in WifiConfigController.java and WifiConfigController2.java to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
