CVE-2020-27523

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Solstice-Pod versions up to 5.0.2
Description The Solstice-Pod WEBRTC server mishandles format-string specifiers %x, %p, %c, and %s in the screen key, display name, browser name, and operation system parameters during the authentication process. This may cause the server to crash and force Solstice-Pod to reboot, leading to a denial of service.
Recommendations For Solstice-Pod versions up to 5.0.2, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the vulnerable parameters screen key, display name, browser name, and operation system during the authentication process until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
