Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Texas Instruments CC2538 devices with Z-Stack version 3.0.1
Description
The Zigbee protocol implementation does not properly process a ZCL Read Reporting Configuration Response message, causing it to crash in the
zclHandleExternal() function.Recommendations
For Texas Instruments CC2538 devices with Z-Stack version 3.0.1, consider disabling the
zclHandleExternal() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the ZCL Read Reporting Configuration Response message to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Fix
