VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Azure Sphere version 20.05
Description A denial-of-service issue exists in the asynchronous ioctl functionality. This can be triggered by a sequence of specially crafted ioctl calls, leading to a denial of service. An attacker can exploit this by writing shellcode.
Recommendations For Microsoft Azure Sphere version 20.05, consider restricting access to the asynchronous ioctl functionality until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the vulnerable ioctl calls to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
