Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver, all versions
Description
The issue is related to a vulnerability in the DirectX 11 user mode driver, specifically in the nvwgf2um/x.dll component. It can be triggered by a specially crafted shader, leading to an out of bounds access and resulting in a denial of service.
Recommendations
For all versions, consider disabling the use of the DirectX 11 user mode driver (nvwgf2um/x.dll) as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable driver to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
