Description A code execution issue exists in the DICOM parse dicom meta info functionality. It can be triggered by a specially crafted malformed file, causing an out-of-bounds write. An attacker can exploit this by providing a victim with a malicious DICOM file.
Recommendations For Accusoft ImageGear version 19.7, consider avoiding the use of the DICOM parse dicom meta info functionality until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the handling of DICOM files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
