Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
miniorange-saml-20-single-sign-on plugin versions prior to 4.8.84
Description
The issue allows for XSS via a crafted SAML XML Response to "wp-login.php". This is related to the
SAMLResponse and RelayState variables, and the Destination parameter of the "samlp:Response" XML element.Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.8.84, update to version 4.8.84 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "wp-login.php" endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
SAMLResponse and RelayState variables in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
