CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit Studio Photo version 3.6.6.916
Description The issue is related to the processing of TIF files and results from the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on the object. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The vulnerability can be leveraged to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit Studio Photo version 3.6.6.916, consider avoiding the use of TIF file parsing functionality until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to potentially malicious TIF files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
